CVYL Girls 2026 Tournament Info

2026 CVYL Tournament

All regular season games are now complete regardless of if played or not. Unfortunately, we had another very wet spring. 

Playoffs: All teams have been placed into a play-off bracket. The brackets created for the tournament by the committee used the following criteria; total points, head-to-head competition, strength of schedule and goals against. The brackets will be listed as

  • D1A 
  • D1AA
  • D2A
  • D2AA
  • D3

Quarterfinal games: Hosted at the higher seed and should be played between May 28th - June 1st (Higher seed hosts and pays for the official)

Semifinal games: Will be played between Weds June 3rd or Thurs June 4th (Rain date 6/5) Higher seed hosts and pays for the official.

Finals: Saturday June 6th (rain date June 7th) -Salmon Brook Park – Granby, CT (Split the officials fee)

PLEASE READ ALL INFO BELOW

Rosters: should be loaded to the 12U and 14U Spread sheet.

  • Towns with two teams at the same age group but different levels can have a player "play up" a level but cannot "play down" a level.
  • Towns with multiple teams at the same age and skill level MAY NOT share players from different teams in the same town at the same age and skill level of play.
  • Towns who have 8th graders that played with their towns HS team and Did Not register for CVYL Spring Lax CAN NOT play in the tournament



Logistics Reminder:

  • Host teams must input the game into the CVYL Crossbar site
  • Each team must have a town sportsmanship rep at the games who is not coaching, be present by the fans for crowd control and sportsmanship please email ctvalleylax@gmail.com the name of your representative. 
  • We have had a significant number of complaints this season regarding sportsmanship, dangerous plays, fans, and overall lack of rule knowledge.
  • It is the coaches responsibility to know, understand, and teach proper positioning and safety methods for players (USA LAX RULES)
  • It is the individual associations responsibility to promote, teach and ensure that all players, coaches, and fans are behaving appropriately during games. CVYL WILL NOT TOLERATE unsportsmanlike conduct or behavior by a coach, player, or fan and may be grounds for termination of the player and/or possibly the entire team from the tournament if the behaviors occurs.
  • All scores must be reported with-in 24 hours of the contest completion. A town rep is responsible for inputting the score through the CVYL site.
  • No more then 4 coaches on the sideline during a game and coaching CAN NOT occur from the opposite of the field in the fan section
